Ward Campout: Tyson loves the canoe, but he kept rowing the wrong way! He's the one with the oar in his face.

Eric and the kids attempted to fish, but nothing was biting. They eventually gave up and captured a few craw daddys. Some of the older boys caught several little snakes, and Tyson was determined to bring one home. We nixed that idea! At least it was beautiful up there, and a lot cooler than the valley.

Ella had a wonderful time on her first campout. She slept very well at night and even took a long nap during the day on Friday while the boys were fishing.

First Day of School at Chaparral!

Here is a picture of our new 2nd grader and kindergartener in front of their school. Eric waited to go to work, so we could all walk to school together. We took the wagon with us just to carry all the school supplies the kids needed for their classrooms. It was quite a list!
We had a last minute cancellation of the preschool Chase was going to, so I had to scramble to find another placement for him. Preschools usually get filled up way in advance,
so we were very blessed to fin
d a wonderful preschool for him. Here Chase is on his way to the first day of preschool. He loves his Spiderman backpack and he wants to wear it every time we leave the house, and he doesn't understand why Ty and Cambrie get to go to school more often than he does.Ella was also happy for Chase's first day of school. She was happy to have more alone time with Mommy!

Tyson's Birthday!
I can't believe he is 7 years old. Where has the time gone? We were under orders from Ty to bring cupcakes to his class on Friday the 22nd, the day before his birthday. Due to health codes and allergy issues, parents are not allowed to bring in homemade food items. Not that the kids mind, they were very happy with the yummy cupcakes with neon frosting. It was pretty funny to see their bright blue, green, orange, and pink frosted tongues.

Ashley and Brett came over and spent the night with us on Friday, so they could be with Ty on his birthday.
I threw a baby shower for a friend on Saturday morning, so I put Eric in charge of the birthday cake. He took Ty to the store and let Tyson pick out a cake. He decided on this black forest cake. Not my favorite, but hey, it's his birthday! He was very grateful for all the presents he got from family, especially the cash. I guess it is the freedom of choice that makes him so happy to get dollars. He's funny about it.
Ella's Blessing Day

Ella looked beautiful on the day of her blessing. She was able to wear the same dress Cambrie wore when she was blessed. Our friend Joel, Bishop, and Brett assisted Eric in a beautiful and very spiritual blessing. Ella is an amazing girl and we know Heavenly Father was watching out for her while she waited for us to find her in the orphanage. She is very special and we are grateful to be her parents.

Looks to me like Tyson has mad skills on the canoe. Tell Cambrie that I love her red belt, you may have a fashion designer on your hands. I can't believe how big Chase has gotten and of course Ella is just all smiles.
You have a beautiful family!

I found you again! Your sweet little girl is beautiful. It is amazing how much your family has grown since we were in the ward together. Good work.
Great to see all of your cute kids-so big! I think that is so sweet that you blessed Ella. What a sweet family you have!
