We finally have our appointment date with Ukraine's adoption authority. That is the day we will see our daughter's picture for the first time. . . We hope. If all goes well and we do choose a child, we will receive an official letter from them to present to her orphanage the next day. The first day we will be able to see her face-to-face is on the 31st. If all goes well, Eric will return home on the 17th of February, and I will either come home with him and return when our daughter's passport is ready, or I will stay with her until she can come home to us.
This had been a long year and 8 months, but we are finally close to finding our new little girl. The next few months will be filled with preparation and anticipation. Tyson and Cambrie almost always remember to pray for their baby sister, and so do Eric and I. We have done everything in our power to get her. Now, it is time for us to turn our fate over entirely to Heavenly Father and his desires for our family. We are comforted to know that no matter what happens, he knows what is best for us. We have already been blessed beyond measure, and that perspective helps tremendously.
